I find it interesting that you would link Dan Graham with cybernetics. It's not obvious at first, but the interactivity of his pieces within a certain set of rules. Even though Graham didn't mention those rules during his talk at SFAI, they seemed inherent to the location.

Actually, it is kind of obvious, if you read the things he wrote about the works for magazine pages and the video-works. The cybernetic discourse gets replace by a kind of neo-Marxist, post-structuralist one in the 80s, but it's pretty visible in the 70s stuff if you've read Bateson, Wiener, McLuhan.
